Our firm was formed in 1970 to provide legal and business services to individuals and business clients throughout the State of North Carolina The firm was started by William P Pinna as a successor firm to the Raleigh branch office of Spears Barnes Baker Boles Pinna of Durham North Carolina Today the firm is centrally located in one of Raleighs older residential neighborhoods The firms strength is its corporate business estate and tax practice in both the state and federal systems The firm consists of both attorneys and certified public accountants who have experience in complex business and tax matters Since its inception the firm attorneys have developed an expertise in mergers acquisitions and complex business and tax related legal matters with respect to many different industries and professions in North Carolina The mission of the firm has always been to render the highest quality of services to its clients The firm attorneys are graduates of top ranked national and regional law schools and are active in a full range of civic church and professional activities The firm partners have substantial experience in advising clients in estate tax financial planning and business related matters The partners have been associated with the academic community and are frequent speakers at symposiums for the legal accounting and business communities The firm partners include former Internal Revenue Service agents fulltime and adjunct professors at local universities and law schools former chair of the North Carolina State Property Tax Commission and chairs of the American Bar Association committees in the area of taxation and legal economics
